The project
A serene, thoughtfully crafted bathroom balancing warm wood, refined stone, and custom storage in a calm, functional space.
The Chesnut project is a complete bathroom renovation carried out in Hudson, Québec. A bathroom is a small room asked to do a great deal, so the brief was simple: keep it calm to look at, make every square foot useful, and build it so that daily use does not wear it down.
We started behind the walls. Plumbing and venting were re-run, the substrate was rebuilt for tile, and waterproofing was completed and inspected before a single finish went in. The layout was then set around the vanity, so that storage, lighting and circulation all line up rather than compete.
Materials were chosen for a room that sees water every day: natural wood, honest stone surfaces, and hardware that stays smooth over years of use. The vanity was built by Arbor Woodwork, then fitted and adjusted on site so the doors and drawers sit true against the finished walls.

Our approach in Hudson and Vaudreuil-Soulanges
Planning — Before demolition begins, we set a realistic schedule, a materials list and a detailed budget. The client knows what will be done each week, who will be on site, and which decisions need to be made ahead of time so that nothing stalls the work.
Execution — The work is carried out by a small, consistent crew. The island and surrounding millwork were built by McBain Woodworks, installed and then adjusted on site so that doors, drawers and joints stay aligned over the years.
Finishing — The last stage is the slowest one. Paint, lighting, sealant, hardware adjustments and a full clean-up: this is the difference between a kitchen that is properly delivered and one that is merely finished.
