Family Kitchen Renovation with Custom Cabinetry in Hudson
The project
A warm, light-filled kitchen designed around custom millwork, natural materials, and a layout built for everyday living.
The Cameron project is a complete kitchen renovation carried out in Hudson, Québec. The goal was clear from the first meeting: open up the space, gain real storage, and create a room the family actually wants to spend time in, from the first coffee of the morning to dinners shared at the end of the day.
We started by rethinking the circulation. Load-bearing walls were assessed, the plumbing and electrical were re-planned, and every piece of millwork was drawn to fit the real dimensions of the house rather than a standard cabinet module.
Materials were chosen to age well: natural wood, hard-wearing counters, durable hardware, and a calm palette that lets the daylight do the work. Nothing is decorative without a reason, and every visible detail was planned to stay easy to maintain.

Our approach in Hudson and Vaudreuil-Soulanges
Planning — Before demolition begins, we set a realistic schedule, a materials list and a detailed budget. The client knows what will be done each week, who will be on site, and which decisions need to be made ahead of time so that nothing stalls the work.
Execution — The work is carried out by a small, consistent crew. The island and surrounding millwork were built by McBain Woodworks, installed and then adjusted on site so that doors, drawers and joints stay aligned over the years.
Finishing — The last stage is the slowest one. Paint, lighting, sealant, hardware adjustments and a full clean-up: this is the difference between a kitchen that is properly delivered and one that is merely finished.
