Corey trained in carpentry at CVCEC in Ormstown before taking on general contracting, which is why cabinetry and millwork are built in-house here instead of ordered in and hoped for. It is also why the carpentry sets the standard for everything else on a job — if the boxes are square and the reveals are even, the tile and the paint have something honest to follow.
Made to measure matters most in old houses, and most of the houses around Hudson are old. Walls are rarely plumb, floors are rarely level and openings are rarely a catalogue dimension. Stock cabinetry answers that with filler panels and dead space. Building to the actual measurements answers it with usable storage.

Design, materials, hardware and finish are set out in a detailed quote, so what's included is clear before anything is cut.
Boxes and millwork are built, then fitted and scribed on site, with the home protected and the site left tidy at the end of each day.
A walkthrough together, adjustment of doors and drawers after everything has settled, and any outstanding items closed out.

If it is made of wood and has to fit an opening that is not a catalogue dimension, it is carpentry work.
Usually yes on the invoice, and often not on the outcome. Stock cabinets come in fixed widths, so an awkward wall ends up with filler panels and dead space. Made-to-measure uses the full run, which in a small kitchen can be the difference between two usable drawers and none. We will tell you honestly where custom earns its cost and where stock is the sensible call.
Both, depending on the piece. Cabinet boxes and millwork are built where the tools and the dust control are, then fitted and scribed on site. Trim, stairs and anything that has to follow an out-of-square wall in an older house gets cut in place.
In most cases, yes. Older profiles are often no longer stocked, so matching means milling to the original profile rather than finding the closest thing on a shelf. Bring us a short offcut if you have one — it makes the match far more exact.
